General tips for capturing content

Video/photos

  • Try to film in a well lit area (outside or near a window or open door can help)

  • Film vertical at the highest possible resolution: how to shoot 4k on iPhone

  • Whenever stretching, use a pliability mat if possible. If not, try to do it on an unbranded mat or surface) - in the future we may be able to provide you a mat so just ask.

  • Whenever filming an individual movement, record it for 20-30 seconds

  • Try to include different angles, if it’s possible to have someone assist you in filming, shooting a mixture of static shots, rotating shots, wide shots, close-ups. If it’s not possible, move your tripod around when switching shots to get multiple angles.

Voiceover

  • When recording voiceover, be sure to record in a quiet space without echos. Outside is great if it’s not windy or noisy, or in a carpeted room.

  • Use either voice memos on a phone or a microphone. If you are using a phone, hold the bottom of it close to your mouth when recording.
